Judah Axelrod is a senior data scientist at the Urban Institute. He works in collaboration with Urban’s Technology and Data Science team and Racial Equity Analytics Lab to provide analysis and support for policies that strive to mitigate structural racism.

Before joining Urban, he worked as an analyst at NERA Economic Consulting in antitrust and competition policy. Axelrod also has applied research experience in machine learning, econometrics, and natural language processing in the domains of education, mental health, and fairness in artificial intelligence.

Axelrod holds a BA in economics from Rutgers University and an MSc in data science from the London School of Economics.
