This analysis of patterns of adolescent alcohol and drug use, drug selling, and crime; the factors associated with them; and potentially promising methods of intervention is based on extensive in-person interviews with 387 inner-city male adolescents. The authors also recommend drug prevention and intervention efforts by the school system, the community, and the media.
